Photo production in Geneva

Geneva is a good place for all stages of photo production, be it casting, transport, or shooting locations.

With an urban community (which extends into Vaud Canton and neighboring France) of about 960,000 inhabitants from 180 different countries, Geneva provides excellent street casting opportunities and benefits from a vast pool of local models.

The city is served by the Geneva Cointrin International Airport and connected to both the Swiss and French railway networks, including direct connections to Paris, Lyon and Marseille by TGV. Geneva is also directly connected to the motorways of both Switzerland and France. Production teams, photographic equipment and models can therefore be moved to and from Geneva rapidly for photo productions.

Geneva is at the south-western end of Lake Léman (the second largest freshwater lake in Central Europe) where the lake meets the Rhône River (Geneva is also crossed by a second river, the Arve). The city is surrounded by two mountain chains, the Alps and the Jura. Add to this scenery icons like the Jet d'Eau fountain (140m high), presenting good spots for outside photo shootings.

In addition, Geneva is host to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the largest association of national broadcasters in the world. Thanks to this (and to the presence of the Télévision Suisse Romande - TSR), it is also possible to access studios specialized in video shootings.
